Duelo de Éter: free online card duel like 7 Wonders Duel
Duelo de Éter is a fantasy card game for 2 players set in the world of the Realms of Ether: the House of Dawn against the House of Dusk. Cards are laid out in a shared layout, some face up and some face down, and on your turn you take a free card to build your realm or sell it. If you like 7 Wonders Duel, you'll feel right at home. It's free and plays in your phone or computer browser, with no downloads, against the bot (three levels, offline too) or with a friend, online (each on their own phone, with a room and a code) or on the same device. A game lasts 15 to 20 minutes.
How to win
- Demolition: knock down your opponent's 3 towers (3 health each) with Siege cards. You win instantly.
- Constellation: complete a line of 3 runes (row, column or diagonal) on your 3×3 board. You win instantly.
- Prestige: if nobody manages either one first, whoever has the most prestige at the end of Age II wins.
Your turn
- Pick a free card from the layout: one with no other card on top of it. Tap any card to read it.
- Build: pay its cost and put it in your realm; its effect applies right away.
- Sell: discard it and gain 2 gold + 1 per Market card you have.
- Face-down cards are revealed as soon as they become free, and then it's your opponent's turn. With Echo ✦ cards you play again.
The cost
The crystals you produce (Ember, Tide, Root and, in Age II, Light) are never spent: they count for every purchase. Each crystal you're missing costs 2 gold + 1 for each crystal of that type your opponent produces. Some Market cards bring it down to 1 gold. If you have the seal a card asks for (Flame, Wave, Leaf, Moon or Crown), it's free. You start with 6 gold.
The cards
- Crystal: produces 1 or 2 crystals of one type forever.
- Market: instant gold, cheaper crystals and better sales.
- Siege: 2 to 5 damage to your opponent's towers; damage hits the leftmost standing tower and any excess carries over to the next one. When a tower falls you gain 2 gold.
- Wall: repairs your most damaged tower or puts up a shield that stops the next attack.
- Rune: marks its rune in your constellation. If you get one you already have, you receive a blessing: +3 gold, +2 prestige or repair a tower by 2.
- Glory: 2 to 7 prestige. Feat (Age II): prestige at the end based on what you have.
The two ages
Age I, The Shield, and Age II, The Crown, have 18 cards each and a different layout. In Age II, Light appears, the cards are stronger and whoever is behind goes first (less health left in their towers).
Prestige
At the end you add up Glory and Rune cards, Feats, blessings, 1 per 3 gold and 2 per standing tower. In a tie, whoever has more Glory cards wins.
Quick tips
- Watch what you leave free: taking a card can hand your opponent the one underneath.
- Selling a card is also a way to keep it from your opponent when they're about to win.
- The crystals your opponent produces make yours more expensive: Age I Crystal cards are worth their weight in gold.
