Héroes de Éter is a fantasy card game for 2 to 4 players: build a party of heroes, roll the dice to use their powers and take on huge monsters while your opponents try to stop you. If you enjoy Here to Slay, you will feel right at home. It is free and runs in your browser on phone and PC, with no downloads. Play online with friends by creating a room with a code, jump into a quick match (bots fill any empty seats) or play against bots at three levels, even offline.

How to win

  • Gather all 6 classes in your party: Shieldbreaker, Sentinel, Tracker, Prowler, Arcanist and Troubadour (your leader counts as its own class).
  • Or slay 3 monsters.

Your turn: 3 actions

  • Draw a card (1 action).
  • Play a hero, item or magic card (1 action). When a hero enters, it may roll for its effect for free.
  • Roll for a hero (1 action, once per turn): with 2 dice, roll its number or more to use its effect.
  • Attack a monster (2 actions) if you meet its requirements: hit its success number to slay it and keep its reward forever; roll its failure number and you suffer a penalty.
  • Redraw your hand (3 actions): discard your hand and draw 5.

The cards

  • Heroes of 6 classes, each with a roll number and an effect: destroy, steal heroes, steal cards, gain actions…
  • Items you equip to your heroes and cursed items you place on your opponents' heroes.
  • Magic cards with an instant effect.
  • Modifiers (+2, −2, +3…) and challenges, played as reactions on anyone's turn.

Reactions: challenges and modifiers

When someone plays a card, a reaction window opens for a few seconds: if you hold a challenge, you can challenge it. You both roll and, if you roll higher, the card is cancelled. After every roll, anyone can use modifiers to push it up or down. If you don't want to react, tap "Pass".

Leaders

Every player starts with a leader with a unique ability: more power against monsters, cards when you lose heroes, an edge in challenges, magic that draws cards or better rolls.

  • Watch which classes each opponent is missing: a timely challenge can save the game.
  • Keep a modifier for your monster attacks.
  • Tap any card to zoom in and read its full effect.
